When something is missing
you can feel it

Noe i boks is a non-profit organisation working to make everyday life a little easier for children growing up in families who have less than others.

There are moments in a child's life that are meant to be simple.
The first day of kindergarten. The first day of school. Birthdays.
Moments you shouldn't have to think about. Just experience.

Noe i boks begins here. Not with the big things, but with the small things that are not in place.

Noe i boks wants to make it possible for a child to show up just like everyone else. That a parent can say yes when their 7-year-old son asks for that blue backpack. To make what should be simple actually simple.

How we work

We anonymously match a donor with a child in the local community who needs support for a specific life event. The donor later receives information about what their contribution made possible. Every krone donated goes directly to supporting the child.

We work with trusted organizations and professionals who know the families and where the need is greatest. They ensure support reaches the right place – safely, respectfully, and with full anonymity.

Our partners include the Single Parent Association, the Red Cross, Familiestøtten in Bergen, Hjelp mæ å hjelpe in Trondheim, Salvation Army Familiebosatt in Oslo, and public services in the big cities including Kristiansand and Tromsø. You can read more about how they ensure the help reaches the families with the greatest need here.

We believe in dignity. That receiving help should not feel more difficult than it already is.

Who we are

The organisation is run entirely by volunteers. We have Advokatfirmaet Thommessen on the team, providing pro bono legal support. The startup and transaction costs are covered by a private donor.

Founder and head

From the same founder of Jula i boks, which helps around 1,000 people celebrate Christmas each year. Now I want to bring the same idea to other important moments in a child's life.
