Terms of use of Noe i boks
Last updated: 26.04.2026
Below are two sets of conditions; one for those who want to give, and one for those who want to receive. Please read the terms that apply to you.
Part A – Terms for donors
1. About the Service
Noe i boks is a voluntary organization that connects donors with children in low-income families who need help at major events such as the start of school or the start of kindergarten. As a donor, you donate a set amount, are matched anonymously with a recipient child, and the family receives an earmarked gift card at a relevant retailer. You will receive information about the child's gender, age, and what the donation has made possible. If you are in the same region as the receiving child, you will also receive information about this.
2. What you agree to as a donor
By registering as a donor, you agree to the following:
- a) Your donation is a voluntary gift. You cannot claim it back after it has been completed, and you have no right to any consideration beyond the information described in section 1.
- b) Although you have the option to indicate whether you want to help a child with major events such as the start of school or the start of kindergarten, you are not entitled to be matched with a specific child or family. We try to follow up on your preferences, but the matching is based on availability.
- c) The gift card that the family receives is earmarked at a retailer that sells relevant products for the start of school, the start of kindergarten or other products or services covered by Noe i boks. Noe i boks does not have the opportunity to control what is actually bought with the gift card.
- d) The information you receive about the recipient child (event, gender, age, what the donation has made possible and, if applicable, location) is limited for reasons of the recipient's privacy. You should not attempt to identify or contact the recipient family.
- e) The age limit for donating is 18 years. By making a donation, the donor confirms that this age requirement is met.
3. Payment
Payment is processed by our payment providers Stripe and Vipps. The payment providers have their own terms and conditions and privacy policies that apply as well.
4. Communication
After you as a donor have been matched with a child, you will receive an email and SMS with information about your match and what the donation has meant. If you also want to receive general updates and/or reminders about future campaigns from Noe i boks, you can sign up for this when registering. You can unsubscribe at any time.
5. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The terms and conditions in effect at the time of the donation will be those that apply to the donation in question.
Part B – Conditions for Beneficiaries
1. About the Service
Noe i boks is a voluntary organization that helps children in low-income families get what they need at major events such as the start of school or the start of kindergarten. The service is completely free of charge for recipients. You sign up using a code given to you by one of our partners, and your child is matched with a donor who donates a gift card to a retailer that sells relevant products. Registration can also take place by a partner on behalf of the family sending the necessary information about the child (such as gender, age, which event the donation applies to, wishes and location) directly to Noe i boks.
2. Who can receive
To register as a beneficiary, the following must be met:
- a) You are the parent or guardian of a child who is about to start kindergarten or in one of the grades in primary school or who has an extra need for assistance in connection with other activities.
- b) Your family needs financial support for purchases in connection with the event in question, such as the start of school or the start of kindergarten.
- c) You register via a code received from one of our partners.
3. What you agree to as a recipient
By registering as a beneficiary, you agree to the following:
- a) The information you provide must be correct and truthful. We trust that you provide the correct information about you and your child's needs.
- b) The service is intended for families who have a real need for support. If it turns out that the information you have provided is materially incorrect or misleading, for example that the need is greatly exaggerated or contrived, Noe i boks reserves the right to close your access to the service for future fundraisers. We want to help as many people as possible, and then it is important that the help goes where it is needed most.
- c) The gift card must only be used for purchases in connection with large events such as the start of school or kindergarten or other relevant campaigns Noe I boks offers.
- d) You are not entitled to a specific amount, product or retailer. Noe i boks decides for themselves what is donated, based on the family's needs.
- e) The donor will receive limited information about your child; only what the event in question is about, gender, age and a brief description of what the donation has made possible. In some cases, information about the city will also be shared. The donor will not be provided with your name, address or other directly identifying information about you or your child.
4. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. In the event of significant changes, you will be notified by e-mail or SMS. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
